Basic Maintenance and Services
Servicing all main propulsion engines and generator units in your vessel. Basic MAINTENANCE is an annual necessity. This includes changing IMPELLERS, ENGINE zincs, fuel, oil, and air filters, replacing belts. We use all OEM filters and lubricants.
Oil Change; Replacement of oil filters and lubricants using OEM parts.
Oil Samples; We offer oil samples to be taken from all units, then sent to be tested through Apex Labs. Providing details on the contaminates in the tested oil. This may provide beneficial information in preventing further unseen damage.
Fuel SYSTEMS; Replacement of FUEL FILTERS, secondary fuel filters, Racor filters, and the DISASSEMBLY and cleaning of racor bowls.
Air System; Review and replacement of AIR FILTERS, crankcase filters, turbocharger connections, and exhaust SYSTEM. ( Exhaust leaks may be dangerous. They can lead to the COMPROMISE of fire safety. Also shortens the air filter life, adds build-up of SOOT throughout the engine room. The largest concern is carbon monoxide poisoning.
1,000 Hour service
A 1,000 H/r service is a requisite amidst proper care for your vessel. This service includes setting intake & exhaust valves, set fuel injection timing & delivery, testing injectors through International Fuel Systems, complete flush, and replacement of coolant, removal, and cleaning of cooling systems (AFTER COOLER, INTERCOOLER, and transmission coolers), replacement of belts, air filters, and hoses, RE TORQUING of head bolts (if applicable), check engine alignment.
Overhaul
We offer overhauls on all makes of power plants. An overhaul is the complete DISASSEMBLY and replacement of major parts, such as pistons, liners, bearings, cylinder heads, injectors, and turbochargers. If needed removal of the engine may be required to accomplish an OVERHAUL.
Diagnostics and troubleshooting
Falsely diagnosed inquires lead to wasted time and unwanted stress, let alone unneeded costs to the repair. We pride ourselves in offering comprehensive and meticulous methods to ensure a proper diagnosis. Included with many years of experience, we have software CAPABILITIES for many different systems. This allows us to view and clear codes, compression tests, cylinder response, and SETTING parameters to monitor all aspects of an engine while running.
Sea Trial
An in-depth diagnostic check of PERFORMANCE issues stated by you, the customer. We verify and ANALYSE all inquires related to the issue. T-DIESEL is insured to CAPTAIN a 50' vessel in absence of the owner or CAPTAIN. This allows us to perform our services when most CONVENIENT.
Survey
A prerequisite to other mechanical services, a survey provides us with a detailed overview of your specific needs. A standard survey will include extensive oil sampling; engine, transmission, and generator diagnosis; and a sea trial to gauge temperature, pressure, and vibrations to match the manufacturer’s specifications.
Transmissions
We also service all makes and models of transmissions including, Volvo Integrated propulsion system (IPS), ZF, Twin Disc, Zeus Pods. We also offer calibration of Zeus pods if needed.
Generators
We provide servicing, maintenance and troubleshooting for your GENERATOR. We are certified with Onan generator units. We also service Westerbeke, kohler, and other models of generators
